Hey guys,
Just wanted to say thanks to all of my fans who have sent me e-mails checking if I'm okay after these hellacious matches. The truth is, I'm sore as hell, but I'll do just fine.
As many of you saw, I shocked the world by winning the U.S. title in NBA by last beating Jeremy Justice. It's been a while since I've had gold around my waist, and coupled with the fact that I recently aqquired the NBA Ultimate BeatDown title, I'm feeling great. The PPV didn't go quite as well as I had hoped although it was fun tagging with Carismatico. I hoped I would've lasted a bit longer in the battle royals, but unfortunately I was tossed out. I was exhausted after the battle royal the night before. Oh, and for the record, things between myelf and Cheerleader Debbie are strictly professional.
I want to congratulate Raw Impact on becoming the sixth man in the Elimination Chamber match, after a great match against Kid Omen. Congrats to Matt Ackerman for winning the world title. Anyways, that running sunset flip I did in WNC was one of the most painful things I've ever done and I felt that ALL week. I'm not one for excuses but it definetly affected my performance against Mr. Natural in ECWF on Thursday.
For those who didn't hear it, I did my first live radio broadcast as an announcer on Wednesday night, despite the pains in my back.
As for the match with J-Master. Wow, what can I say. That took a lot out of me. I can't believe Bubbles and Ricky two of my buddies from the Trailer Park Boys are actually trying to get me a match in ECWF for tonight, I'm still aching from last night. That barbed wire stings like a bitch and I've probably got like 30 stitches in my back. That C4 was hot as hell and I got some serious burns on my back and knee. J-Master got it a lot worse actually as he got a serious burn on his shoulder and apparently he couldn't even put a shirt on this morning. Todays gonna be a long day for me. First I'm off to the WNC taping at MSG at 3:30. Then I'm flying off to the ECWF arena for tonight's show. I should be getting in just in time to catch the last hour of Raw tonight before the ECWF show starts. I have to go for an MRI on my wrist today. Many of you probably don't know, but I've been working through that for about a month now. It's a sprained wrist. I felt I may have reinjured it this past Sunday when I tried to block a flower pot shot at Wrestling Spectacle, yeah the VERY first move of the match. Anyways, if worse comes to worse, I'll have to put the cast back on that I took off two weeks ago. I'll probably wear a brace for tonight's shows. I'm facing the guy I beat for the NBA title Jeremy Justice in WNC today and although I don't have a match scheduled in ECWF, I will be there and will likely work a dark match.
I see I'm going to be facing my old rival Kid Omen over in the XWA there. Him and I have a lot of experience with one and other so you can bet that we'll be putting on something special there.
Now to answer some of your questions. Thanks for sending them.
Jesse, did you get a chance to watch Saturday Night's Main Event? What did you think? ---Tom-Springfeild, VA
Yes Tom, I did get a chance to watch SNME with a couple pals backstage at the WNC Hall of Fame ceremonies, which concluded shortly before the show. I liked the Main Event match and HBK and Shane did some sick bumps, but I didn't like the opening tag match as I don't understand why Cena got the victory.
Hi Jesse. How what do you usually eat before a match? -Susie. West Chester, Pennsylvania.
Hi Susie. I lived in West Chester for about three months last year in my good buddy Bam Margera's basement. It usually depends what kind of a match. If it's a TV match, I usually eat some Kraft Dinner and drink some milk and maybe a protein bar about an hour or two before the match. We usually end up stopping for a meal after the show. If it's a house show or a PPV match and it's going to go a bit longer, then I usually just have a bowl of grain ceral like Raisin Bran or Cheerio's when I wake up and then have a brunch around 10 with bacon, eggs and sausage. Then around 3, I'll have some steak or macaroni or chicken and then skip supper. I'll usually have a protein bar and a Gatorade to tide me over between then and my match. Then after the Pay Per View or event, I'll usually go to a pizza place or something with a couple pals.
Hey Jesse. I know you're a huge Metallica fan. What is your favorite album by them adn do you like their new stuff (e.g. Load, St. Anger)? -Mark. Charleston, North Carolina.
Hi Mark. My favorite Metallica album is a tie between Kill Em All and The Black Album. Yes I do like their new stuff although it's not their best. I personally think Load was a great album while ReLOad wasn't as good. St.Anger was a return to their earlier days but I wasn't a huge fan of the way it was produced. Either way, I saw them live in my home town back in 2004 and they still kick ass live.
Hey Jesse, are you planning on attending Wrestlemania this year? I've got floor seats and I can't wait. -Charlie. Chicago- Illinois
Hey Charlie. Way to rub it in. I probably could have gotten seats if I got off my ass but I was too lazy. I will be watching it on TV with a few buddies. Cheer for my buddy Chris Benoit real loud, let's hope he kicks JBL's ass, eh.
That's all the time I have for now, but keep up the e-mails and I'll answer your questions for you when I get a chance.
Thanks for the support, and make sure to cheer extra loud next time you see me. Jesse
P.S. In honor of me winning the U.S. title, I've finally got a t-shirt available on the NBA website. Check it out, guys.

Jesse’s Diary Hey everyone, just to let you know I finally got a chance to make my own My Space. Check it out here: www.myspace.com/selfproclaimedmainevent So, I guess Canadian Killer was right and there will be a battle royal this Thursday. Anyways I need to clear something up. Many of you are wondering how I was hanging out backstage with CK and Matt Ackerman and then suddenly arriving via low rider with Eddie and Kenua. Well to be honest, after a brief chat with Ackerman and CK, I went to Eddie and Kenua’s dressing room to wish them luck and they weren’t there. Needless to say I took a cab down to the nearby bar knowing they would be there. I managed to get them to come and then for all that I got my leg jammed in the door. With friends like these guys, trust me, you don’t need enemies. But then again, I do have my fair share of enemies. (Nice segue, huh?) Over in NBA, my old “pal” Destroyer has challenged me to a match for my U.S. title. I recently lost the Ultimate BeatDown title but have been too focused on preparing for my US title defense to bother attempting to get it back. Over in XWA, after beating Kid Omen last week, my winning streak continued after defeating a newcomer by the name of Mr. High Fly. That match went a LOT longer than I expected and I’ve got to hand it to the guy for giving me a run for my money. Meanwhile, in WNC, after a dissapointing loss to Jeremy Justice two weeks ago, I’ll be back at it this week facing The Dead Man. The winner of this match will face Sheena Michaels at Revenge. I have not had a one on one match with Sheena since she beat me in her debut match and believe me, I will be ready this time. Just wanted to send a quick shout out to Jeremy Justice. He’s retired from wrestling to focus on booking for a new federation. Speaking of new federations, yours truly will be debuting for yet another one in the coming weeks. Keep your eyes pealed. Now to answer a few of your questions. Thanks to everyone who sent them in this week and I apologize I was only able to get to a few. Hey Jesse, Just wanted to know. What are your thoughts on the Boogeyman? Dale Matthews, Sacramento, California Hi Dave, I like the Boogeyman. I think he is a great character and fun to watch. I definelty wouldn’t want to wrestle him though as worms certainly are not part of my diet (rumor has it they’re high on MSG). Yeah, I know I’m not afraid of barbed wire and thumb tacks but worms down my throat, ewww. Hey Jesse, Just wanted to say I have been a fan of yours since you beat Lesnar for the WNW Title last year. I remember you putting on a classic match with Raw Impact at the first WNC pay Per View and was wondering when you two were going to be going one on one again. Thanks, Becky Douglas Jacksonville, Florida Hi Becky, thanks for all the support. I definetly hope to get another match with Raw Impact in the near future as that would be great. He ranks up there as one of my favorite guys to wrestle. Hi Jesse, Just wondering, how did your MRI go last week? Also, who do you think will win the Money in the Bank match at WrestleMania this year? Katy Richards Edmund, Oklahoma Hi Katy, My MRI went well. Luckily there wasn’t another break although it hasn’t healed very well. As a precaution I wore a cast that night for the WNC and ECWF shows although both shows I wrestled dark matches. Since then I’ve had it removed and have just worn a cast. As for Money In the Bank, my prediction is a man who teamed up with Edmund’s own Charlie Haas, Shelton Benjamin. In my humble opinion, Shelton should have won last year. I would love to see RVD or Matt Hardy win but that doesn’t seem sensible. Seeing Ric Flair win the title for a 17th reign would be great though, That’s all the time I have this week, I’ll talk to you guys next week. In the mean time, I strongly recommend you guys check out a band called The Old Soul. I downloaded a song by them called River of Daughter off of iTunes and it’s great. Peace for now, Jesse
