WNC.Com has learned that the Modern Marvel has decided to take a break from WNC. In a brief phone interview with the E-Fed icon, Marvel cited reasons both professional and personal, including his heavy schedule since debuting in ECWF, his increased dediation to XWA and the physical toll his body has taken over years of punishment.
WNC BeatDown Announcer Tim Moss made the announcement to fans at a house show in Flagstaff, Arizona this past Thursday night. He was interrupted by Marvel's nemesis Mr. Reality Shane Warner.
************* (We go to a video with the caption RECORDED EARLIER. Tim Moss is in the ring as John Denver's Thank ZGod I'm a Country Boy plays throughout tghe arena).
Jillian Marcia: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the lead announcer from WNC BeatDown, Tim Moss!
(Fans cheer loudly as Jillian hands the mic to Moss and leaves the ring.)
Tim Moss: Thank you I appreciate that. I am here to inform you of a change in tonights 6 man tag Main Event. It was originally scheduled to be Matt Ackerman, Kenua and Modern Marvel vs. Countdown, Comptons Most Wanted and Mr. Reality. Unfortunately, the Modern Marvel has informed us he will be taking a leave of absence from the WNC. Therfore he will be replaced by a surprise guest later tonight. Marvel cited reasons both professional and personal and wishes to tell his WNC fans that he may still return somewhere down the line.......
(The Broken by Fireball Ministry hits to mostly boos.)
Mr. Reality: I knew it! Marvel claims he needs some time off, buyt I went through just as much hell as he did in the cell match two weeks ago. The reason he's leaving is because he knows he can't beat me. I beat his ass inside the cell and now he's leaving lkike the coward he is. That's right. Get a look at the man who took out the suypposed E Fed Icon! Marvel is a backyard wrestler at best. Bascyard wrestling is full of idiots who think they have talent when really all they have is a mental disorder. Backyard Wrestling isa fanbtasy, buyt this , this is Reality. And IU AM the Mastyer of Reality. This Monday I was gonna call out Marvel and challenge him to a match this Sund at the PPV in Vegas. Hell, I was even gon na let hbim pick the stipulations. But obviously Marvel is somewhat smarter than I thought and he took his ball and went home AGAIN!
(Old School GHollywood by System of A Down hits to a big pop!)
Scott Mann: Hey Shane, look I'm not a big fan of Marvel either but the fact that you're saying he;s running off is b.s! And you think you are the "reality" pof this business, well I'm here to call your bluff! Hey big boy, you wann stick to your guns and have a match this Sunday, And hell while you're at it, how about I chose the stipulation. What'd ya say big man?
Mr. Reality: (Pauses for a second.) What do I say? I say YOU'RE ON!
Scott Mann: Great, and if you're wondering what kind of match I have in store for you. Look no fuyrther than my career in ECWF. That's right, PYRO! YOU AND ME IN THE WNC's FIRST EVER INFERNO MATCH!
(CROWD POPS HUGE AS THE VIDEO ENDS!)

ARCHIVED NEWS WNC Revenge Injury Aftermath
The WNC trainers were busy after and during WNC Revenge this week with three superstars hospitalized overnight (Marvel, Mr. Reality and Charles Kennedy) and another two treated for mild to serious injuries (Jesse and RKO.)
Here is a recap.
Jesse- Strained Neck Muscle- Suffered after botched Canadian Destroyer. Jesse was treated at a local medical facility and was in severe pain for most of the night but X-Rays revealed it wasn't serious.
Sheena Michaels- Twisted Knee- Her knee buckled when she went for Sweet Chin Music the first time. Apparently she had injured it a week ago at a WNC House Show but re-aggravted it.
Sheena Michaels- 11 stitches to stitch up a cut above her right eye.
Jesse- 7 stitches to stitch up a cut directly beneath his nose.
Jesse- Sore back- After the Electric Chair Drop Jesse felt a sharp pain in his lower back. After briefly mentioning it to the WNC trainer, the trainer felt he should have it X-Rayed while he was at the hospital. There was some inner bruising but nothing too serious. Jesse complained of being extremely stiff the next day and had to limit his workout.
Sheena Michaels- Strained Neck Muscle- Also suffered as a result of the Electric Chair Drop. It was not as serious as Jesse's and simply caused Sheena limited mobility in her neck for much of the next day.
Sheena Michaels- Sprained Ankle- Sheena sprained her ankle after landing on her ankle awkwardly after Jesse tried to German her on the outside. Showing true grit, Sheena completed the Electric Chair Drop immediately after. She wore a splint the next day during the battle royal. She has been icing it regularly since then to keep down swelling and it won't cause her to miss any ring time.
Sheena Michaels- 2 bruised ribs. - Sheena suffered this after missing a Moonsault where part of her landed awkwardly on Jesse's elbow as he was moving out of the way. Sheena immediately had slight difficulty breathing but was able to recover and finish the match.
Jesse- Minor Nose Fracture- After he went for the Shooting Star Press and got nailed with Sweet Chin Music part of his nasal bone fractured. It was a mild fracture. Doctors apparently reccomended he wear a mask (similar to that of which Bad Gurl has been wearing, although she had a far more serious fracture) during the battle royal but Jesse decided against it.
Scott Mann- Strained Shoulder- Anytime you lift a 500 pounder like Paul Bunyan on your back you're bound to feel the effects the next day. Scott Mann felt the effects as soon as he lifted the big man up, causing him to fear he had seperated his shoulder. Luckily the pain went away after taking a few Tylenol and sleeping it off although he was stiff in the morning. The next day he went for a routine doctor's appointment to check on a minor concussion he suffered several weeks back in ECWF and decided to get it examined just in case. Unfortunately there was a significant strain and Scott has been advised to refrain from heavy lifting for the next week or so.
Eddie G- Strained Knee. Eddie's knee legitimately buckled when he went for the second of three amigo's. At one point during the match, Eddie was unable to put any weight on the knee however he was able to gut it out. Backstage he received a shot of painkillers for is interference in RKO vs. Savannah. After limping to the back again after reinjuring it, he wore a knee brace during the WCW- Natural match. Eddie was fine the next day and didn't require the brace during the battle royal.
Eddie- Mild Conussion- Suffered after he received the Godsmack from Destroyer. He reaggravted later when he got the Natural Disaster to the outside. Eddie's eyes were slightly dilapidated backstage after the first match causing the doctor to become concerned. After th Natual Disaster he was momentarily knocked unconcious however was okay within a few days despite a few mid morning migraines.
Raw Impact- Bruised Collarbone. He is expected to miss no action.
Ally Rogers- Mildly strained her knee in addition to her broken ankle. She isn't expected to miss any extra time aside from the 1-2 months.
As previously mentioned Rko Sledge Angel will be out 2-3 weeks with a Mild Concussion.
Hannah Harper got a pretty ugly black eye from the big boot she took. She also may have broken her wrist after awkwardly falling out of the ring after taking a 619. X-Ray results were not available as of pres time.
Eddie G needed 7 stitches above his mouth after the Natural Disaster when he hit the floor awkwardly.
West Coast Wonder required three stitches near the side of his mask. Apparently wearing a mask in wrestling regularly causes sores and cuts but this one was serious enough to require stitches.
CEO Charles Kennedy suffered a concussion and required 22 stitches.
J-Master strained his groin early in the triple threat after hitting the Split Legged Moonsault. He bruised his ribs pretty badly after being Thrown to the ramp. He was expected to be out for 1-2 weeks but he worked the battle royal the next night so chances are he won't miss any time.
Now for the two serious ones....
Modern Marvel- 29 stitches 2nd degree burns on his face, back of neck, chest and left shoulder. Straioned neck muscle. Mild Seperated Shouldr. Concussion.
He is expected to miss about a week.
Mr. Reality Shane Warner 47 stitches Bruised Tailbone 3rd Degree burns on legs and right arm 2nd degree burns on face Mild conussion Strained back muscle.
He was expected to be back in action by the end of the week.

ARCHIVED FAN RECAPS:
RIBON CUTTING CEREMONY
Special Thanks to Cory Douglas who sent this in today after attending this afternoon's ribbon cutting ceremony at City Hall in NYC.
Hey me and my friend just got back from the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at City Hall. Mike Becker wasn’t there and Matt Ackerman replaced him. They had free coffee and pop although they ran out of pop a few hours in and someone had to go buy more. Almost 1000 fans were on-hand. The presentation was done by the Mayor, West Coast Wonder, Matt Ackerman and C.E.O. Charles Kennedy. Other WNC Superstars on hand included Jesse, Paul Bunyan, Modern Marvel, RKO Sledge Angel, Da Gangsta, Insane Gary Lang, Cena 54, New York’s Most Wanted, Big Smoke, Buzzed Bunny, X-Pac 360 (with Mr. Trashcan), Sheena Michaels, Jamie Hudson, Eddie G, Raw Impact, Ty Langston, Scott Man and Wrestling God.
Inside they had some stuff for Fan Axxess. They had a video for WNC BeatDown the Game but no playable demo although we were promised one for the actual Axxess festival. They did some WNC Triva for cool prizes and had a Life-Size Paul Bunyan set up. One guy won a trivia game and got a pre-release signed copy of the West Coast Wonder DVD.
Speaking of which, WCW and Eddie G were signing autographs. Each fan got a free 8x10 of each wrestler and they were signing other stuff too. The line-up was insanely long so instead I walked around the area. I managed to get autographs from Raw Impact, Jesse, Ty Langston and RKO Sledge Angel. All four of them were nice and more than willing to pose for photo’s also.
The tug of war happened around 3:30 due to some rain earlier. Paul Bunyan, Jesse, Big Smoke and Buzzed Bunny took on a large group of kids and let the kids win. The highlight was right near the end, X-Pac 360 jumped in on the kid’s side and then celebrated like he had won the world title.

ARCHIVED FAN RECAPS: Countdown/Impact Autograph Signing
Marc Davis sent this in on the Raw Impact/Countdown signing:
My buddy and I went to the HMV on Broadway for the Autograph session with Raw Impact and Countdown. There must have been 800 fans lined up. Luckily they had another entrance set up if you wanted to just shop and we were able to get some distance photo’s of both men. They had all their wrestling DVD’s 10 percent off, with a few exceptions. My friend bought the Hellfire and Brimstone DVD and we watched it at home that night. It had the segment where G-Unit debuted the next night as well as interviews with Wrestling God, Raw Impact, Modern Marvel, Da Gangsta, Jesse and Eddie G. It also had the ten minute interview with J-Master that aired two or three weeks later. We would have gone to the WCW dvd premier but tickets were sold out.
ARCHIVED FAN RECAPS: WCW DVD Premier
Here is the recap of the West Coast Wonder DVD premier. Thanks to Colin Richards
Hey we just got back from the DVD premier for the West Coast Wonder: Live From the West Coast. We got a kick ass poster of WCW and a coupon for the DVD as well. In addition, when we got their we traded our ticket stubs in for a commemorative ticket which we hung around our necks. The lower bowl area at Radio City was two-thirds full of tons of wrestlers, media and a few select fans who won VIP passes. The first balcony was full of fans. The second balcony was blocked off as apparently it would be too high to see the screen from. I’m guessing there was about 3,000 fans in attendance.
At 6:30, the band Sanctus Real performed a set to warm up the crowd. They were pretty good and had an original sound to them which I liked.
Around five minutes before seven, Jillian Marcia came out and introduced a small WNC Superstars video promoting a new line of DVD’s scheduled to come out in the Summer. The video had footage of Mike Becker, Modern Marvel, Matt Ackerman, Countdown, Scott Mann and Raw Impact but I’m not sure if these were who they were talking about. At seven, Charles Kennedy came out to a nice pop and announced we were live on WNC’s website. He then gave a quick speech about Wrestling Spectacle. Jillian Marcia came back out and introduced The Iron Man Jimmy Ice who got a huge pop! Iron Man gave a speech on WCW and then introduced a clip of some of WCW’s best moments in ECWF which we were told would appear as a bonus feature on the DVD. Charles Kennedy came back out and we were treated to a best of WCW in WNC clip. Eventually Modern Marvel came out and we saw a NBWF best of clip. The legendary Cbo_Jay_Dudley came out and introduced some of WCW’s earlier footage from IHW. We then saw a clip of WCW talking about his favorite moments from IHW. Then Matt Ackerman came out and brought out WCW who spoke briefly and sat down on the stage. Matt Ackerman then roasted him for a few minutes which was pretty funny. Ackerman was the MC for the rest of the night and was hilarious. Ackerman introduced Mr. Cena who came out and embraced WCW. Mr. Cena gave a few thoughts and then introduced the first match. Ackerman came back out and made Trish and Crippler stand up in the crowd before introducing the IXW match. Then Mr. Reality Shane Warner came out and did a brief promo on kicking Marvel’s ass this Sunday before introducing Nightmare, Mr. Spectacular and Mr. Star Press. They then introduced the IHW-HOP match. Pete Jones came out and talked about WCW and then we saw their match. Matt Ackerman brought out X-Pac 360 who had Mr. Trashcan with him. X-Pac said some things about WCW and then started saying stuff that Mr. Trashcan was telling him too which was hilarious. WCW was almost in tears laughing throughout most of this. They then showed a Triple Threat match that also had the Raven Effect in it. Ackerman brought out Shauna Angle who introduced a Six Man Tag match. Mr. Spectacular came back out and introduced the cage match. They showed a pre-taped clip of Raw Impact where he talked about his legendary feud with WCW and introduced the Three Stages of Hell match. They showed highlights of the first two falls and the entire third fall, although we were told the entire match would be on the DVD. Venom came out to a nice pop and they showed the awesome barbed wire mayhem match. Jesse came out to a big pop and cracked a few jokes at WCW which (I hope) were meant to be corny. Then Jesse brought out Russian Rocket which kicked ass as I hadn’t seen him in a long time. They showed the tag match of WCW and Rocket vs. Tut and Jesse. Afterwards Jesse mentioned how much of an honor it was to be in one of his first NBWF matches with such an elite group. Rocket and Ackerman stayed on stage and they brought out Dave “Paradigm” Fischer and all three men roasted WCW more before we saw a highlight package of Total Wrestling in their prime. We saw about ten minutes of what is apparently a forty minute clip of WCW in San Diego. Sonny and Wuv from the San Diego band P.O.D. came out and congratulated West Coast Wonder before they introduced Sanctus Real who performed Alone. Afterwards WCW went up and shook hands with the whole band. Charles Kennedy came out and they showed clips of WCW’s debut against Raw Impact. We also saw him beating Wrestling God. Eric Carsons went out into the crowd and tried to interview WG and he stormed off which was hilarious! Then they had another clip with Raw Impact and they showed their TLC match from Ultimate Destruction. Hardcore Fool and Sean Gotti came out and introduced a segment on The Street Sweepers. Then Ackerman came out and introduced WCW who was fairly emotional. He talked for around 20 minutes on all the different feds. He put over guys like Matt Ackerman, Iron Man, Sean Gotti, Countdown and Paradigm. He then held up his Pure Title and said he would retain his title no matter what. He got a large standing ovation at the end. Then they lowered some balloons and confetti from the roof and Sanctus Real played a few more songs as several wrestlers walked up on stage to congratulate WCW. It was a very emotional night but also a lot of fun.
NOTE: The WNC has learned that CBOJayDubley was NOT in fact in attendance rather it was someone claiming to be CBOJayDubley. Rumors say the real CBOJayDubley is in jail.

Archived Fan Recaps/ News: WNC Wrestling Spectacle Week
These are the results from the outdoor show yesterday, sent in by David Michaels
Hey I just got back from the outdoor show. Eddie G defeated X-Pac 360 in a comedy match. Wrestling God defeated Jesse in about 10 minuts. Sheena Michaels beat Jamie Hudson in five minutes. New York’s Most Wanted defeated Ty Langston. Buzzed Bunny with Big Smoke pinned Metal God. The main event, which went nearly 20 minutes saw West Coast Wonder defeat Raw Impact with the 619. After the match the two shook hands. Modern Marvel and Countdown did promo’s as well. Scott Man and Matt Ackerman were signing autographs the whole time and the lines weren’t too bad. It was a bit windy so they didn’t set up the obstacle course, although the wind died down after the first match. Tim Moss, The Poacher, Paul Bunyan, Da Gangsta and Jamie Hudson were the one’s cooking burgers. After the show some of the wrestlers stuck around and signed autographs. I got Paul Bunyan, Jesse, Modern Marvel, Raw Impact, Ackerman, Scott Man, Ally Rogers, Big Smoke, Buzzed Bunny and The Poacher’s autographs. Everybody was nice except Poacher, but he was obviously in character which was funny. As people were standing in line for burgers, Tim Moss and Paul Bunyan were taking turns hurling insults at Poacher which was hilarious.
ALSO An eye witness report said that New York’s Most Wanted, Da Gangsta, RKO Sledge Angel and Cena 54’s autograph session at the HMV on Broadway drew about 500 fans.
A separate fan said they went to the Nickelback concert which was well done. Three Days Grace and Fozzy opened. They sent a set-list as well.
Fozzy Born of Anger ??? (I think it was an old song) Lazarus The Way I Am To Kill a Stranger Enemy It’s A Lie (Bonecrusher joined them on stage.) Wanderlust Nameless Faceless All That Remains
Three Days Grace Burn Take Me Under Scared Are You Ready? Home Let You Down Wake Up Just Like You (I Hate) Everything About You
Nickelback Flat On The Floor Animals Worthy To Say Breathe Leader Of Men Too Bad (They played about a minute of Metallica’s Ride the Lightning) Because of You (Dimebag Tribute Video) Side of A Bullet Figured You Out Someday Photograph Rock Star Never Again Next Contestant How You Remind Me
All in all, a good show. Say what you want about Nickelback, but they play a good old loud rock and roll show.
Don't forget WNC Fan Axxess officially kicks off at the convention center today.
PLEASE NOTE CHANGES TO TIMES OF AUTOGRAPH SIGNINGS:
11 Am- 1 PM: Countdown and West Coast Wonder
2PM- 4PM: Matt Ackerman and Jesse.
6 PM- 8 PM: Wrestling God and Sheena Michaels.
The changes are due to tonight's ECWF House of Pain which WG and Sheena will not be a part of. We apologize for any inconvenience as it was an oversight on our part.
Thanks to Joey Hughes for sending in some info about today's Fan Axxess festival.
Hey me and my friend spent the day at Fan Axess. We got a chance to play BeatDown the game although the line-ups were huge. At one point, they let Countdown and Paul Bunyan “bud” in line to play a game which I don’t think anyone complained about. Countdown kicked Bunyans ass and Bunyan muttered something about him cheating. We managed to play WNC Trivia. My friend won a cool Mr. Reality Shane Warner T-Shirt. We missed the WNC superstar in the obstacle course as we were waiting in line at the store but we were told it was Eddie G and he let a 11 year old kid beat him. The Bunyan life-size statue was cool but pointless cuz we saw him at the Barbeque almost all day long. We got to dunk Poacher which was the highlight of my day. We also saw Ally Rogers, Sheena Michaels, Larry Fowler, Jesse and Big Smoke in there. There wasn’t a big line-up for the commentary thing but it looked pretty boring. We saw Metal God cooking burgers and asked if we could take a picture of his mullet which he said sure which was cool. The jousting had busy line-up’s all day long. They had a funny duo of jugglers on the performer’s stage. A few local DJ’s and a local punk band performed also which was cool. At one point, Matt Ackerman actually went up and did a small routine. He stuck around for about an hour afterwards signing autographs. We skipped the WCW/ Countdown autograph session but got in line for both Jesse/ Matt Ackerman and Wrestling God/ Sheena Michaels.
This was sent in by Karl Hewart
Today between 1 and 3, Eddie G, Dead Man and Ally Rogers signed autographs. Today between 4 and 6, J-Master and Kid Omen were signing autographs at the Fan Axxess. Kevin Sane is out with an injury but no word on what happened to Dimes. Between 7 and 9 Modern Marvel and Mike Becker signed autographs. Between 10 and 11, it was supposed to be Jesse and Scott Man but they changed it to Mr. Reality and Scott Man as Jesse’s band MOSH opened for Nickelback and System of a Down.
Thanks to Roger Daly for sendind in the set list for Friday's concert.
Just got back from the Nickelback/ System of a Down show at MSG. Fozzy and Mosh opened but I’m not familiar with any of their songs so I don’t know the set lists. Mosh played first after a Canadian band called Thornley. Then Fozzy, Nickelback and System.

Legit Heat on Executioner
Ex: "Nice PPR nutty the best becker. And even though ex was better in all his promos i guess in the back of all our minds we new that you would have you win... "
MATT ACKERMAN'S RESPONSE (ooc) SHUT THE FUCK UP! This is exactly why you didn't get the title! Not the claim ( it is only a claim, and nothing more) that Mike is Nutty, the FACT that you complain like a little pussy when something doesn't go your way. Mike's been champ for a long time, so the fuck what? Ex, you may have had better promos, but you started that "enough is enough" topic and proved exactly why you don't deserve shit. If you think he's an undeserving champ, don't bitch or make wild accusations about Mike being Nutty, criticize Mike's abilities in your promos. Don't piss and moan, STEP UP TO THE FUCKING PLATE!!!
